Day 1 – Arrival & Welcome to Dobrna
Enjoy a comfortable journey from Pinzgau and Pongau towards the south – your destination: the charming spa town of Dobrna in Slovenia. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed with a welcome drink and check into your rooms at the ****Hotel Vita. Afterwards, take a guided walk together through the idyllic spa gardens and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. From 6:00 PM, you can end the first day with a delicious dinner.
2. Day – Traditional rafting experience on the Drava
After breakfast, a special highlight awaits you: a trip to Gortina. At the raft landing site, the cheerful raft crew welcomes you with a homemade schnapps, bread and salt – according to old tradition. Then it’s “Cast off!” for your raft trip on the Drava. As you glide leisurely over the river, experience a lively presentation of the rafting tradition – with stories, demonstrations and even a real rafting christening!
Your physical well-being is also well taken care of: In your raft bag you will find a traditional meal with dry salami, rye bread and cider or apple juice, accompanied by music and lots of good cheer. After two eventful hours, you will reach the starting point again – richer by many beautiful memories. Afterwards, return to your hotel in Dobrna. Free time.
3. Day – Ptuj & Jeruzalem – the Slovenian Tuscany
Today you will embark on a journey into the past: In Ptuj, the oldest city in Slovenia, you will stroll through medieval streets and feel the breath of ancient Roman times. Along the picturesque Drava Valley, you will visit a pumpkin seed oil mill, where a tasty tasting awaits you – the “green gold” of the region in its best form!
Afterwards, the route takes you further into the gently curved vineyards of Jeruzalem, which is also known as the “Slovenian Tuscany”. In a cozy winery, you will learn the legend of Jeruzalem and enjoy a wine tasting with four fine wines, accompanied by cheese and bread. A day full of pleasure, landscape and joie de vivre!
4. Day – Return journey with a moment of pleasure in Bled
After eventful days, you will start your journey home. However, one last highlight awaits you: an extensive stay in the enchanting Bled. The sight of the turquoise blue lake with its small island and the castle high above the water forms the perfect conclusion to your pleasure trip through Slovenia.
