You will also find cultural treasures from various historical epochs: Nuraghe such as Su Nuraxi, Roman excavations at Nora and Tharros and modern museums are just a few examples. In Alghero you will feel transported back to the time of Spanish domination and on the Costa Smeralda you will experience, in contrast, the modern life of the international jet set.

Day 1 – Arrival in Livorno
We drive over the Brenner Pass, Bologna, Florence and Pisa to Livorno, where we have our dinner in a typical Italian restaurant and then, around 7 p.m., check in on the ferry to Olbia, Sardinia. Overnight stay and breakfast on the ship.
Day 2 – arrival in Sardinia
The next morning we arrive in Olbia by ship and drive to the artists’ village of San Pantaleo. In this enchanting mountain village, in the mountains of the Smeralda, we enjoy our first stay. Then it goes to the famous Costa Smeralda, one of the most famous and fashionable coasts in the world, which owes its name to the characteristic color of its completely intact sea. In the fashionable town of Porto Cervo we take the next break at noon. Continue on the coast to Palau, where we leave the emerald coast and drive through the interior of Sardinia to the coral coast in the west of the island. In Alghero we move into our **** star hotel, which is located directly on the beach. Dinner and overnight. We will stay in this hotel for the entire duration of our stay in Sardinia.
Day 3 – Alghero & Capo Caccia
After breakfast we visit Alghero. During a walking tour with a local guide, you will feel transported back to Spanish domination. The city founded by the Genoese still has many characteristics of the Catalans, who settled in the 14th century. settled here. The city is located on a small headland and is a highlight of every trip to Sardinia due to its location and its romantic old town. After the lunch break we take a short excursion by bus to the nearby Capo Caccia and enjoy the wonderful panorama there. Return to the hotel and enjoy a cozy dinner.
Day 4 – Picturesque Bosa & Wine Tasting
Today we go south, we drive along the wild, romantic coral coast to Bosa. This place, located on the Temo river and towered over by the Malaspina Castle, is one of the great highlights of our Sardinia trip. In Bosa we also visit the picturesque old town with its colorful houses. The area is also known for the Malvasia wine. We will also try this fine wine at a tasting. On the way back to our hotel we see the mysterious nuraghi, stone buildings from the Bronze Age, and drive past Lago del Temo.
Day 5 – Castelsardo to Porto Torres
The last day on the island takes us to Castelsardo in the north of Sardinia. This small town is located on a peninsula and is dominated by the Doria Castle. Castelsardo was named the most beautiful place in Italy! You can look from the castle to Corsica and have the opportunity to stroll in the impressive old town. At the end of this trip we see the famous elephant rock nearby. Then we drive to Porto Torres, where we have a cozy dinner. Then it goes back to Genoa by ship (night ferry).
Day 6 – journey home
Cozy breakfast on board. Journey home via Verona, Bolzano and the Brenner Pass.
