Ammersee & Starnberger See – Bavarian idyll between lakes & Alps
Two of Bavaria’s most beautiful lakes await you: gentle hills, alpine panoramas, traditional monasteries and leisurely boat trips characterize this short trip. A trip for connoisseurs who appreciate the Bavarian lifestyle, good food and relaxing hours by the water.
Day 1: Andechs Monastery & Ammersee
Departure in Pinzgau / Pongau and drive along the Chiemsee, where you can get in the mood for the trip with a cozy white sausage breakfast along the way. Afterwards, continue to the famous Andechs Monastery on the “Holy Mountain.” In the Andechser Bräustüberl you will take a hearty lunch break and enjoy Bavarian delicacies in a rustic atmosphere.
In the afternoon we continue to Herrsching on the Ammersee. Here you can expect an atmospheric boat trip with the paddle steamer – past pretty villas, charming waterfront landscapes and with a view of the Alpine chain. Afterwards we move into our rooms in the ***Hotel Seehof in Herrsching, located directly on the lake. We end the day with a joint dinner in the hotel.
2. Day: Lake Starnberg & return journey
After breakfast, get to know Lake Starnberg from the water. A large boat trip shows you the most beautiful parts of the shore, villas and castles around the lake. Lunch will be served on board – enjoyment and views included.
In the afternoon, you will return to Pinzgau and Pongau via Kufstein – with many atmospheric impressions of the Bavarian lake landscape in your luggage.
