Day 1 – arrival – Seewaldsee – Rankweil
Our first stage of the journey takes us over the Pongau / Pinzgau to Saalfelden, then via St. Johann in Tirol to Going. Once there, we take our first coffee break in the Blattlhof. The journey continues past Wörgl and Innsbruck, over the Arlbergpass and Flexenpass, through Zürs and Lech to Wart. Here we have our lunch. We drive over the Hochtannberg and the Bregenz Forest into the Große Walsertal to Fontanella. Here we take a slow train ride to the Seewaldsee, which is known for its unique flora and fauna and has been nominated for Austria’s “9 places – 9 treasures”. Enjoy the idyll during an extensive coffee break. Finally, the last day’s stage takes us over the Thuringian Mountain to Rankweil in our **** Hotel Hoher Freschen. There we review the day over a leisurely dinner.
Day 2 – Metzler dairy – Maria Bildstein – Bregenz
Today also offers you some highlights. In the morning we drive over Bödele to Egg, where we visit the Metzler dairy. During the tour through the family business, all variations of cheeses as well as a variety of whey products will be made palatable, so that you can look forward to a final tasting. After an extensive lunch break, we visit the pilgrimage church of Maria Bildstein and then continue to the Vorarlberg state capital Bregenz. Here you have plenty of time to explore the city: stroll along the lake promenade along Lake Constance, explore the local mountain with the Pfänderbahn, visit the stage set at the Bregenz Festival or enjoy a delicious coffee while marveling at the “small Sea “from Vorarlberg. In the evening, a 3-course menu with a salad buffet awaits you.
3rd day – journey home
After a hearty breakfast we start our journey home. The route leads us past Bludenz into the Montafon Valley, over the Silvretta High Alpine Road. 34 hairpin bends bring us to the Bielerhöhe, which is located at 2,032 meters. We continue through the Paznaun Valley via Galtür and Ischgl, then we reach Landeck, where we have our lunch. We cover the last stage via Innsbruck – Wörgl in the Pinzgau and Pongau.
