Southern Burgenland & Eastern Styria
20.09. – 22.09.2021
Day 1 – arrival
The journey to Burgenland takes place through the Ennstal – Schladming – Liezen – through the Mürz Valley to the Semmering for lunch in the Maria Schutz monastery inn. Along the Wechselgebirge, past Bad Schönau, we reach Bernstein. There we visit the rock museum. Let yourself be inspired by the underground world of mining, by the magic of the unique precious serpentine, by the splendor of colors of crystals and gemstones and by the power of natural amber. After another short drive we come to our hotel in Lockenhaus. In the evening, a 3-course menu with a salad from the buffet awaits you.
Day 2 – Heiligenbrunn, cellar quarter tour and Uhudler winery
Today we take a nice day trip over the Pinkertaler Weinstrasse to Heiligenbrunn. There we experience a historical cellar tour, which is rounded off with a Uhudler tasting and a subsequent Buschenschankjause. Our next item on the program is the pearl of southern Burgenland: Güssing. Here we learn many interesting details of this historic city in the course of a city tour. The return journey to our hotel takes us via Stegersbach – Oberwart – Bad Tatzmannsdorf to Lockenhaus. In the evening a unique knight’s meal awaits you, accompanied by songs of the Minnesota.
3rd day – journey home
After a hearty breakfast we start our journey home. This leads us via Pinkerfeld and the Vorau Abbey to the forest home of Peter Rosegger. Here we take our lunch break. The next stage brings us back to Pongau and Pinzgau via Bruck an der Mur – St. Michael – Liezen.
