Breathtaking Western Switzerland
Day 1 – Arrival at Lake Geneva
Your journey takes you to the beautiful region of western Switzerland – to the picturesque Lake Geneva. You will receive a warm welcome at the comfortable 3-star Hotel Campanile. After checking in, you will have time to explore the surrounding area or relax. Enjoy a convivial evening meal together, rounding off the first day and setting the scene for the experiences to come in the heart of the Alps.
Day 2 – Mont Blanc Express & Chamonix
After a hearty breakfast, you will meet your tour guide, who will accompany you on a real highlight today. A short walk will take you to the train station – and your adventure on the legendary Mont Blanc Express begins!
The panoramic journey from Martigny to Le Châtelard Frontière is a feast for the senses: you will travel through wild gorges, past thundering waterfalls, rugged cliffs and charming mountain villages.
In Chamonix, at the foot of Mont Blanc, you can enjoy the special flair of the famous Alpine village. In good weather, you can even take a mountain trip to the Aiguille du Midi: at over 3,800 meters, you will experience a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding mountains.
Afterwards, you will travel back to Switzerland and your hotel on Lake Geneva via the picturesque Forclaz Pass.
Day 3 – GoldenPass & Montreux – Pure Railway Romance
Today you will experience railway romance in a class of its own! Together with your tour guide, you will first travel to Montreux, the elegant town on Lake Geneva, known for its mild climate and the blooming lakeside promenade. You will have free time for a walk along the shore or a leisurely coffee break.
Then it’s time to: All aboard! The ride on the famous GoldenPass Panoramic is an unforgettable experience. Through the large panoramic windows, you can enjoy spectacular views of vineyards, glittering lakes and the gently rolling hills of the Swiss Alps.
In Gstaad, the fashionable mountain village, you will have time to stroll or relax in one of the cozy cafés before returning to your hotel.
Day 4 – Zermatt & the majestic Matterhorn
Another highlight awaits you today – Zermatt! You will first take the bus to Täsch, where you will change to the train that will take you to the car-free mountain village. This journey is already an experience. But the centerpiece is the first view of what is probably the most famous mountain in the world – the Matterhorn. Proud and impressive, it towers over the region and attracts everyone’s attention.
In Zermatt, you will have free time to enjoy the special flair of the village or – if you wish – take the Gornergrat Railway to the 3,089-meter-high Gornergrat. From there, a panorama opens up that you will never forget!
Afterwards, take the train back to Täsch and continue by bus to your hotel.
Day 5 – Bern & Return Journey
After eventful days, it is time to say goodbye today – but not without one last highlight. On the return journey, you will stop in the federal city of Bern. Together with your tour guide, you will discover the most beautiful corners of the old town, the imposing Federal Parliament Building and, of course, the famous Bernese bears Finn, Björk and Ursina.
With many unforgettable impressions in your luggage, you will finally begin your journey home.
