Almrush blossoms on the Tauplitzalm
The Tauplitzalm or “the Alm”, as it is affectionately called by the locals, is the largest high lake plateau in Central Europe and is located in the mountain range of the Dead Mountains. The six mountain lakes, from the small fairytale lake to the large Steirersee, are crystal clear and of course have drinking water quality. This area is widely known as a giant alpine garden. Every flower lover will be delighted with the gentian blossom and the phenomenal alpine rose blossom.
Our approx. 1-hour panoramic trip with the slow train takes us to the most beautiful vantage points and then to the Hotel Hierzegger for lunch.
